Where we stand

Breadfast Buddy — Pickup & Delivery pilot results, the request to open the app, and a Gov Services status update.

Agenda

Two updates, one ask.

01

Pickup & Delivery pilot

What we proved with employees over the past six months.

02

The ask

Add Buddy as a vertical in the Breadfast customer app.

03

Governmental Services

Status update on the second vertical — built, internally aligned, pre-launch.

Update 1 · Pickup & Delivery pilot

The product works.
Distribution is the limit.

Buddy ran as a closed alpha in December with 10–15 hand-picked employees, then opened company-wide on Feb 4, 2026 with one Slack post. Zero marketing since. Quality holds. Volume is structurally capped.

  • Closed alpha Dec 2025 → company-wide Feb 4, 2026
  • Quality validated — ratings near-perfect
  • Operations team in place (Mahmoud + 4 Buddies)
  • Distribution is the only missing piece

Customers come back

Real demand, not a one-time try.

0

Unique customers

Every order from an employee or someone they shared the app with — no public channel exists.

0%

Repeat rate

14 of 35 customers placed more than one order. Average frequency: 2.1 orders per customer.

0

Power user

One customer placed 13 orders; another 10. Near-weekly usage — Buddy solves a recurring need.

The pattern

February proved demand. The months after proved the ceiling.

February 2026Company-wide launch + Ramadan + B2B March – May 2026Steady state, full pool exposed
Completed orders 33 7 – 8 / month
Unique customers 16 5 – 11 / month
Driver Company-wide launch + Ramadan + B2B Full pool exposed, steady state

Four months of full-company exposure since Feb 4, ~1,500–2,000 employees, and the steady state is 7–8 orders/month. We've extracted what this channel can give us.

Beyond consumer orders

We've already run volume at B2B scale.

During Ramadan, the team handled an influencer-gifting engagement for Breadfast's marketing team — registered as bulk tasks through the same platform, with zero purpose-built B2B tooling.

  • ~70 individual deliveries in one campaign
  • Concentrated in the second third of Ramadan, executed cleanly
  • Same Buddies, same operating model, no extra cost
  • Quality held — ratings remained 4.8+ that month

Update 2 · Governmental Services

A second vertical — built and queued.

Document handling fulfilled by Les Concierges, surfaced through the same Buddy entry point.

Partnership

Les Concierges scoped — their first B2C channel. Buddy is their consumer-facing platform to reach individual customers.

Product complete

29 services (passport renewal, ID issuance, marriage certificates, etc.). Dynamic form engine, SLA-based pricing, specialized order lifecycle, full admin controls — all live in the system.

Internal alignment done

CX, Finance/Taxation, and Legal aligned. All open items — escalation, e-invoicing, reconciliation, cancellation, cash advance, contract liability — closed or assigned.

Commercial model agreed

Marketplace structure. Breadfast = platform; Les Concierges = service provider. Commission flows to Breadfast. E-invoicing mapped per Egyptian tax regs.

Update 2 · Governmental Services · Customer experience

The full journey is built.

Buddy entry — service selector
1. Buddy entry — both services as cards
Service catalog
2. Service catalog — 29 services, 16 categories
SLA-based pricing
3. SLA pricing — Regular vs Expedited

4. Review & pay — itemized breakdown

5. Order tracking — gov-specific lifecycle
Update 2 · Governmental Services · Where we stand

Pre-launch — finalizing the catalog.

We're in the final operational configuration phase. The remaining work is finite and concrete.

  • Service catalog data upload — in progress
  • Invoicing setup on both sides — in progress
  • Awaiting Les Concierges to submit finalized service & pricing data — gates launch date
